If they would take their money, the company would get bankrupted (faster) and they would not get anything or they would be taking the underwriter´s money (who might be rethinking his level of trust).
Apparently the underwriter Neil Francis Stuart has not studied the Hotcopper about the credibility of the company or visited enexd webpages.
As he is still substantial owner, he may have invested some millions beside shares earned as a director of Dark Horse (company's previous name) at least until 2016.
