If you sell on Tuesday, you still legally own them until settlement occurs, T+2 business days. As such you would own them at 7pm on Wednesday as settlement would occur Thursday.
Some find it easier thinking about the opposite side (buyer), from the ex dividend explanation: (i.e., Shares traded on and following this date [Tuesday 7pm] will not trade with the right to subscribe for new Shares under the Entitlement Offer). i.e. If the buyer is not eligible to participate for any trade post Tuesday, the seller must retain that right.
