If you take up entitlements and any shortfall, the company gets the money.

If you buy on market, the counterparty to the trade gets the money (and a little bit for the brokers).

On the $20MWh announcement, the SP shot up. RFX then announced the CR at a discount and as is most often the case, the SP tracked down to the raising price. EOFY tax loss selling didn't help either.

The rate at which a company's SP recovers after Tax loss selling varies and is (in my experience), unpredictable. The overhang of a CR does little to support SP recovery. The only people buying on market are those who don't have entitlements or those who have taken up all their entitlements and any short fall they reasonably expect to be able to get. That probably just leaves traders.

It is important to see the invisible resistance to SP appreciation due to the CR. The SP wouldn't be where it is now if not for the CR.
