It is an alarm monitoring business. What it does is connect a thermal probe to monitor the physical (temperature) environment rather than a motion sensor in the traditional situation of protecting a property or premises from physical intrusion. The rest of the business model looks to be just marketing to get investors' money. Although the software may offer a limited degree of differentiation.

Even back 20 years ago alarm monitoring businesses were using back to base data transfer to collect information. What today's companies are doing is simply dressing up the language of that comms transfer: e.g. IoT and analytics thanks to advances in wireless transfer of data.

Digi nicely sums the process up used by this industry: 'A subscription-based service, Digi Honeycomb is comprised of hand-held probes, wireless sensors, gateways and software that allow temperature data to be monitored, logged, and retrieved, and be easily integrated into back-office systems. In delivering a complete solution that encompasses front-of-house and back-of-house environments…'

At the very least CT1 needs to have the same range of services and devices as their competitors. Does CT1 have hand held probes and does it have door alarm capability? They are two crucial areas for businesses involved in large cold storage and food shipment.

The only way I can see CT1 surviving is through acquisition of other alarm monitoring businesses. Otherwise it will be one capital raising after one capital raising until it is bought by a competitor or taken private.
