I think today's and yesterdays action is the response to the entitlement/options offer. Since it has now gone ex, the dilutative effect of the entitlement/options offer is fully known (one can safely assume 100% acceptance and 100% conversion of the options).
The only unknown is what people may do prior to financial year end for tax related purposes.
