Hey i am wondering if someone could explain the "Options" part...

Hey i am wondering if someone could explain the "Options" part of this in plain English. I have never had a prospectus like this before.

"on the basis of 1 free attaching New Option for every 1 New Share issued, with each New Option having
an exercise price of $0.09 and expiring on 31 December 2023 (New Options)"

My understanding of this would mean that if i buy X number of NEW shares at 4.5c each. Then i also get X number of options.
The shares i CAN sell whenever i want on the market.

The options are NOT sellable. And the options allow me to SELL my shares at a price of 9 cents each. But i can only sell said shares after 31st December 2023. Is this accurate? Or i got it wrong?
