Would have to assume that the partners for the next round of Phase trials have insisted that money be in the bank prior to each of these trials commencing over the next year.
Markets are still jittery and each would want to ensure that they will be able to complete these trials in full.
The last raise in June sucked up my contribution and I then had 3 other holdings wanting money. I don't like the idea of this raise so soon after the last one but CHM may be relying on the shortfall cover to ensure the next round of trials actually happen. Without the trials taking place we have nothing.
PH's strategy seems to be to get it done now as the market may be worse in 6 months time.
