Environmental Certificate Paves Way for Mining Licence
Kibaran Resources Limited (ASX:KNL), (‘Kibaran’ or the ‘Company’) is pleased to provide an update on the Government permitting process for its Epanko Graphite Project.
Kibaran has received the Environmental Impact Assessment Certificate for the Epanko Graphite Project from the Vice President’s Office of Tanzania. The certificate was signed by the Honourable Minister of State – Environment, Binillith Satano Mahenge (MP) and is the key pre-requisite for the application for a Mining Licence.
The certificate is the first to be issued for a graphite project within Tanzania since the historic Graphtan Graphite Mine at Merelani was operating in the 1990s.
The Company is now in the final stages of preparing its Mining Licence application for submission to the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. The granting of the Mining Licence is the remaining major milestone in terms of Government permitting.
The Company is planning to complete the Bankable Feasibility Study by the end of June this year and barring any unforeseen delays expects this will coincide with the granting of the Mining Licence.
