Reporting on contract wins is a tricky balance to get right. Many holders want to hear regular updates as they provide reassurance that their company is kicking goals. Others, as we've seen today, will be critical if the contract wins are not deemed substantial.

My guess is that there is a feeling from management that the share price is undervaluing the significant enterprise we are now running, and the massive potential that lies ahead. From memory, a considerable portion of management incentive packages are based on share price targets rather than revenue or profit metrics. For this reason, we may see more announcements like today's, trying to build some strong momentum in the share price. While I'm more of a fan of a slow and steady climb (compared to volatility based on hype), it's not a bad thing that management are trying to move the share price north.
