I think the conversation is shifting and more people are accepting of Nuclear power than was the case previously. There was a good little doco on Foxtel last night Going Nuclear: The Clean Energy Debate.
2 gems i took away was:
1 - The head of Lucas Heights facility noted a technology solution is expected in the comming 15 years that will solve neutralising nuclear waste product.
2 - A modular nuclear reactor that operates for 60 years will produce in total about half an Olympic swimming pool full of waste product total.
In fact i don't think i have heard anyone, family, friends or work colleagues speak adversely of nuclear energy. I understand thats a pretty small sample of population but i reckon the times they are a changin.
