As demanded by shareholders, this announcement is in line with provision of greater detail and regular updates. Was this a necessary announcement? No. Appreciated nevertheless. The signing ceremony date is undefined, but multiple sources all suggest early 2023. This was hardly an attempt to prop up the SP Stirer - given Epanko history, it will take something much firmer than this in Tanzania.

BKT, ORR and STA have signed framework agreements (Dec 2021). This does not mean that licencing and financing has been forthcoming.

EV1, PEK and EGR have all recently announced that FA negotiations have been finalised - signing ceremony imminent.

No @Stirer, WKT have not finalised FA negotiations. There is nothing to suggest that they have even commenced. With all due respect, you clearly underestimate the significance of this requirement. It is no casual chat between mates. WKT did not finalise negotiations before commencing construction, that is absurd - the regs were also only recently solidified. Finance was not even secured. I don't doubt that WKT can sign an FA in future (it ought to get easier with each round of signings) but there is no indication of that as yet.
