on page 2 of this link it says that pink sheet symbols that end in 'f' are not sponsered by the parent company but rather are created by brokers who must go to the company's home exchange to buy the stock.

so, to me it seems owners maejf do own the company and the prices paid for maejf will roughly mirror mae - as the US brokers are going to the asx to make the trades
