Hey OC, you might be on the right track re coal waste and servicing applications for coal fired power plants. Imagining if a unit it developed for coal fired plants, steel and metal work smelter to convert and safely recycle waste product.

Coal waste is a thing and quite clearly a big issue.




‘coal combustion products’ means fly ash, furnace bottom ash or cenosphere(s) resulting from the burning

of coal within coal fired power stations and coal fired boilers where at least 90% of the fuel source is coal and up

to 10% of the fuel source can be biomass material (e.g. wood chip, biosolids), and where no other source of

fuel is mixed other than petroleum based gas or liquid fuel for ignition support.

‘fly ash’ means solid material extracted from the flue gasses of a boiler fired primarily with pulverised coal, consisting essentially of the oxides of silicon, aluminium, iron and some calcium of which particle sizes range from less than 1µm (micrometre) to 200µm and are irregular to spherical shape.

‘furnace bottom ash’ means the agglomerated particles formed at the bottom of the furnace. Furnace bottom ash is typically grey to black in colour, is quite angular, and has a porous surface structure.

Qld Government has an Act - End of Waste - Coal Combustion Products!!! If lil old Qld has a code you would think othe jurisdiction, states, countries would have something similar to deal with the toxic waste - Maybe they can add the OHD to to code!
