Years ago, most of Europes tungsten supply came from Russia and I think Kazahkstan.
With the Russia/Ukraine war and resulting sanctions it looks like it was a good idea that they established ERMA - they needed to send out the jungle drums and look for other resources with great economics as well as proven tungsten mining skills.

And who did ERMA find ?

This is a great recognition step which entrenches EQR/Mt Carbine into any global discussion regarding tungsten - we just won an Oscar.

How will this translate ? We dont really know what mechanics will playout with this but suffice to say EQR will be a lot more illuminated because of their own achievements and expertise.

As scottm said, there are very few European tungsten mines;
UK's Hemerdon in Cornwall - run by Tungsten West but have had a few false starts and capex increases
Spain Los Santos - Almonty said they want to restart this but I dont thiink they are in a good position to do so right now (insufficient cash ?)
Spain Valtreixal - ??? an Almonty asset
Portugal, Panasqueria - An Almonty asset, in production

What I find most encouraging about this is that the likes of Almonty, Tungsten West etc would have all been scrutinised by ERMA but it's EQR that has been given the nod.

Big players interested in the tungsten sector for its potential growth opportunity will definitely not be overlooking the achievements of EQR - if any of these guys are looking to engage, they will want EQR involved in some way or other, beit consultancy of expertise or maybe even equity or JV

From a supply perspective, big players will be looking for an "easy path" that allows them to circumvent the many sanctions in place now and due to come in - they will be looking for a distinct absence of environmental issues, community issues, infrastructure issues etc - EQR has none of these - they have navigated a course around these issues with great skill
