No, Oaktree increasing their investment at 4c is NOT a good sign. They are clearly averaging down their 9c holding IMO. The dimwits who screamed that the introduction of Oaktree was a good thing dont seem to know a great deal about how hedge funds work. Yes, ideally they want to make money but the other side of the coin is to limit their losses too. They stood to lose their entire investment until the plods at EQR came wandering along - and now they are slowly but surely lowering their total buy in price - who knows when they plan to make their actual retreat.
EQR management are a total joke. Not a red cent in the bank, capital raise after capital raise, acquistions continuing, WHERE IS THE PROFIT???!!! Kevin lied blatantly to the market months ago about it and now its all gone quiet behind their bulls*(t distraction of yet another acquistion they cant afford. I write it in capitals because the 'rose colored glasses' mob on here cant seem to swallow that this company is fast turning into a bottomless pit.
