This could be a game changer for batteries as it charges 10 times faster & reduces fire risk.
It addresses the 2 main issues with battery technology, but unfortunately it's not on the investor radar yet. A win at the FT awards would help the cause.
I believe they are initially aiming at the EV truck market rather than cars.
If they commercialise it, it will use a reasonable amount of tungsten (given there is only 100k tonnes used in the world now).
