CEOs have a similarity with lawyers: whether the shareholder/client wins or more often than not loses the CEO/Lawyers nearly always still in front.
Could not argue with this scheme if the IPO had been done at a premium to the last sp, so it the interim you have to laugh at the audacity of poorly performing Companies whose CEOs still have have their hand out for more.
It is what it is.
