I agree Virgon - timed to perfection!
I've been a part of a number of SPP's and have typically seen the SP drift down to the offer price during the offer period - as some SH's will sell heads to pay for the discounted SPP shares on offer. The fact that we are now being included in the ASX300 during the offer period should see some increased buying pressure from Indexed Funds - so we could well see the buying pressure cancel out (or even exceed) the selling pressure during this period. It is a win/win as far as I can tell.....SH's don't suffer a falling SP and the Funds get the extra liquidity in the market to buy their shares. At least, I'm hoping it pans out that way!
