I am just a simple country boy at heart and don't understand the world of business to the degree perhaps I should - but if a large Australian company owned alot of shares in a small gas explorer / producer and was thinking of a takeover - I imagine that the potential of 100m shares being acquired by another player with another 'bull in the ring' might make their cornflakes hard to digest this morning.

Or perhaps I just don't understand these type of things....
