Thats a close-up of the end of one part of the drill core, the vein is possibly about 1-3% volume of that entire metre of drill core, so in that vein the chalcopyrite is probably around 40-50% of the vein with the rest being quartz and a carbonate mineral, so chalcopyrite is 1% to 1.5% by volume of the entire metre of drill core as indicated by the visual logs provided by the company, and as other have said - chalcopyrite is approx 34% Cu by volume with the rest being sulfur and iron.
Drill core samples are often half core/cut and sampled at about 1m intervals, they could take a 2-3cm cherry-picked sample if they really wanted to, but would then be laughed at by the rest of the industry.
