This would have to be driving up realestate prices in the surrounding area of Karratha soon, currently right now there doesn't seem to be 1 house available in Karratha itself on realestate.com, and there are a few people rich enough on HC to get in cash in hand in the nearby towns. I could imagine with the struggles in VIC and NSW, it would look like an attractive place to do business with all the miner money up there, the economy is cooked in the SE and East Coast, but definitely doesn't seem to be the case for the Pilbara.
