Easier said than done... who do you think FFX will flog their shares to...? Same old, same old Euroz/Hartleys/etc etc That was precisely why our SP retreated last week - they were ringing up all their mates to see if they wanted a big bundle of cheap LLL - and as always happens, they start selling/shorting in order to raise the funds to take their part in the potential placement. SP behaves accordingly...
They just don't know any strategic lithium investors at all, that is why the Board went to Macquarie to find a partner - FFX's brokers have no contact with the big end of town and only deal with the pump-and-dump players (fine to get in money quickly if you're desperate - but not at all interested in settling down for the long-haul). That is the ongoing main problem for both companies.
LLL needs to get itself out of the clutches of the Perth mafia. We are a massive global story - with no real connection to WA except our chequered history...
Start by forging links with brokers in other areas (Melbourne; Sydney; London; Singapore; Hong Kong; New York; Middle East). That is where the story will be appreciated and valued. Simon should be talking to global long-term investors (look at those who just went to Jakarta last week and their like - talk to the Future Fund, for example!!).
Then we look to placing the FFX stock (at the right moment - which now looks like another 18 months plus , thanks only to ASX's hardline rules) for FFX... Don't leave it to them - they will only 'FFX' it all...
Start standing on our own two feet and claw ourselves out of the clutches of these vultures - over the next 18 months or so...
Come on Simon - you can do it!
