BrainChip Holdings Limited (“BrainChip” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that it has established an Advisory Board that will provide the Company with additional strategic direction, of a scientific nature.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Nicholas Spitzer and Dr Jeffrey Krichmar, as founding members of our Advisory Board.
Dr Spitzer is a world renowned Neuroscientist, with a career spanning over 40 years. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard and University College London. He is currently a distinguished Professor of Biology at University of California San Diego (UCSD). He is a recipient of a Sloan Fellowship, a Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He was founding Editor-in-Chief of Brainfacts.org, a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences, and a Director of the UCSD Kavli Institute for Brain and Mind.
Dr Jeffrey Krichmar received a B.S. in Computer Science in 1983 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a M.S. in Computer Science from The George Washington University in 1991, and a Ph.D. in Computational Sciences and Informatics from George Mason University in 1997. He spent 15 years as a software engineer at the Raytheon Corporation and Air Traffic Control for the Federal Systems Division of IBM. In 1997, he became an assistant professor at The Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study at George Mason University. From 1999 to 2007, he was a Senior Fellow in Theoretical Neurobiology at The Neurosciences Institute. He currently is a professor in the Department of Cognitive Sciences and the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). His research interests include neurorobotics, embodied cognition, biologically plausible models of learning and memory, and the effect of neural architecture on neural function.
Commenting on the appointment of Dr Spitzer and Dr Krichmar, Peter van der Made, CTO and Interim CEO stated: “ We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Spitzer and Professor Krichmar to our Advisory Board. Add Nicolas + Spritzer on this and this is the whole UC crew working with Qualcomm possibly on project Zeroth and their arm extends to Google and their highly secretive "Drone" project.
