People seem to have missed some of the detail in the announcements! Bold are my highlights. Hope this adds to useful comments by cyber and a few others.
1." Our Akida product development, which addresses the Cybersecurity and Financial Technology markets has significant market opportunities in Australia.  These large and growing markets are each hallmarks of the Australian technology industry. .... we now have a local resource to service this market."  No comment made so far about financial technology on these posts. Financial planning, banks, investment advice, share markets, to name a few.  And Cybersecurity presumably includes denial of service and hackers. There is more to BRN than just facial recognition in camera scanning - includes other modalities including objects, shape, iris scans maybe?
    2. Greg's experience in SAP is extensive, is mentioned, but his work for SAP ceased in 2014.  So, why mentioned?
    3. SAP is used extensively by many large big name national and international businesses.  Embedding BRN technology and chips into SAP processes and systems would be a massive win. Would give world wide coverage and use, without need for individual sales - which I believe has been announced as part of their sales marketing strategy and process.
    4. SAPUG - SAP users group - has a meeting in a couple of weeks time in Melbourne.  Their website lists SAPUG participating companies and industries, from miners such as RIO, to energy suppliers, retail, transport and logistics, banking, state and Federal Depts including various Police, intelligence, pharmaceutical, State Health, and major world wide accounting firms. Is worth a look.
    5. Greg Ryan has worked from 2014-2017 as Senior Account Executive, OpenText according to LinkedIn.  No mention of this in the announcement. Why?
OpenText "is the leader in Enterprise Information Management", and named as a Leader in Gardner Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms, whatever that means! OpenText Q1 revenue $641m, so about $2.5b annually (Canadian $).   During this Q they transistioned to the new SAP HANA S4 ERP platform. EIM offerings "include advance capabilities for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things (IoT), and Information Forensics and Security." Dividend $0.132, so about $0.53cps pa.  Nice if BRN Divs get to $0.53 cps annually!
    6. Greg's LinkedIn cv states Partner Account Manager - Global Strategic Partners , SAP Australia 2013-2014; Director, Ecosystem SAP ANZ. Managing SAP Partner Ecosystem & 3rd Party Software Solutions & GTM Strategies. 2011-2012; Sales Executive SAP 2004-2011
    7. Gaming in Australia - not a lot of international casinos really!  Tabcorp/Tatts maybe. Civil Surveillance - having been through a few International airports recently, entry and exit screening at Sydney is way more efficient than Singapore and Dubai, where they manually check and stamp passports and fingerprint every visit.  And European capital city airports.  ? Iris scanners, shape, heat scanners (manually scanned coming off plane on entering Singapore for fevers), whole body scans - lots of scope for BRN, plus cameras everywhere.  Imagine the one package, facial identification, iris scan, body shape, thumb prints, passport details, and whole body scan including bone sizes, teeth etc.  All in the one data base.  Sydney Airport Corp. Also managing passenger flows, staffing etc.
