The problem is that the Finnish, Belgium and French governments all purchased masks from reputable suppliers in China, who had the required permits and CE/FDA/ISO certificates for the masks. The masks were delivered and re-tested in the respective countries, in accordance with CE certification assessment methods, and they were found to be substandard and not usable in the clinical (hospital) environments. Finland purchased 2 million defective masks from a Chinese manufacturer who provided inaccurate CE certificates.

Also, shipment out of China is becoming a problem. I spoke to 4 suppliers last week who all said the export ports were full to the brim, with backlogs in export due to the international demand for masks.

And with our good "friends" the USA, who have been stealing masks sitting on the tarmac from other countries, who knows when the supplies will arrive.

Too many question marks for me.

I know a long time PPE supplier in Europe who has been waiting one month for his delivery of masks, and he has built up his China contacts and transport networks from China to Europe for 20 years.
