In Specie Distribution of Holding in Emerald Oil Inc.
The Board of the Company has agreed to seek a shareholder vote on the in specie distribution of the Company's holding in Emerald Oil Inc. ( NYSE MKT:EOX). Discussions are underway with regulatory authorities to determine certain of the requirements for the notice that will be sent to shareholders seeking the necessary approvals. Any distribution will be subject to the Company obtaining a tax ruling (which is in the process of being sought) confirming the Company's expectation on an aspect of the distribution process. It is expected that the notice of the relevant meeting will be despatched in the next few weeks with a meeting date in January / February 2013 to allow for the tax ruling to be obtained. If the distribution is to proceed a record date will be announced separately.
