I have to agree with you. This is par for the course with all IMU price sensitive announcements. The sp initially spikes on the release of the announcement then retraces and invariably finishes the day lower than the opening price. This happens so often that there has to be some manipulation going on. I don't fully understand how the shorters and manipulators manage to do this on a regular basis so any informed response would be welcome. At the time of writing this post the market has only been open for 90 minutes yet the sp has already fallen 10% from its high for the day.
