Sisukas the issue here is you may have read those articles - but you did not comprehend what they are actually saying.
You read that Nio sells each car at a $35,000 loss, and understood that to mean that EV's cannot be manufactured at an affordable price, nor compete with ICE vehicles.
What you failed to understand is that loss of $35,000 per car is nothing to do with the drive train and everything to do with the fact that the company is a tech startup in a global market chasing market share in the hottest product category there is right now. If they were an ICE startup they'd be selling at an even greater loss - if they could even sell them at all.
Just reading something is one thing, but comprehension is another.
You clearly read my reply but none of it seems to have been understood.

Tell me this - if you set up shop from today to become the first new ICE car manufacturer in Australia, since the closure of Ford and Holden, and marketing heavily for exports to a global market- how much profit per vehicle do you think you would make in the first 5 years of operation?

I repeat - and try to let this sink in this time - the drivetrain of these vehicles has nothing to do with the fact that these tier 2 EV startups are running at a loss. That is just part and parcel of doing business as a start-up venture in an emerging sector. To compare it with marques which have been in business making ICE vehicles for 100 years, and have heavily refined and honed their processes to eek out every efficiency possible is absurd, and frankly embarrassing.
