The threat is a worry but I do see Archer as part of the solution.
The world needs stability from sovereign-trusted countries and we certainly fit that criteria. Behind the scenes, during times of uncertainty things can move fast. Clearly, the whole tech stock sector has been dragged down in recent times by familiar economic concerns with many tech stocks falling into the overpriced category. However, I wonder if punter’s recognise the difference between innovation and technology?
Archer has now protected its innovative IP in 16 countries thus far. This positions it to be commercially adapted in some form. Therefore, you could define them as an innovation stock, not a tech stock. The significant distinction being that their protected IP may underpin other future technologies not necessarily be defined by it.
Furthermore, Archer states that their key advantages over other qubit ‘innovations’ (nitrogen-vacancy centre nanodiamonds, isotopically enriched fullerenes, quantum dots, molecular magnets, phosphorous in silicon, fullerenes, nanomagnets, superconductors, etc) are by having technological trade-offs and overcoming technological barriers that are issues for them. This distinction is not lost on our key decision makers, hence our collaboration with AMC.
In the light of this, all of a sudden Archer looks grossly undervalued at a 250 MC and ~$30m in the bank.
