See slide 18 of today's announcement- the takeover of BE will give the "Potential to create an Australian producing asset which will allow Emerald to pay franked dividends." Mr. Hart has been consistent about owning a local company to allow for franking credits. See 29min mark and following 2min for franking credit comments.
