Another possible explanation for an announcement such as this could be that EVS wishes to differentiate itself from PET with whom it formerly shared a BOD member - Mr ZZ (who is now on neither BOD). The manifold woes over at PET (to which Mr ZZ apparently contributed) now include numerous SH complaints that it’s management make very few announcements about business activities that are worth reporting - especially since PET needs to now exhibit ‘signs of life’ if it is ever to resist.
Of course there can be risks in too frequently reporting trivial matters because any diligent SH base can see through announcements that lack substance … yet, I personally don’t mind a management that regularly ‘feeds the chooks’.
