The way I see it is EnergyX brought him on board in May 22 possibly to strengthen their operations strategy as part of their Bolivian Proposal, noting his 12 years experience as Senior VP of lithium and potash operations (out of the 28 years at SQM).

Perhaps because EnergyX were not selected, he's moved on elsewehere where his involvement with large-scale lithium operations could continue, rather than at EnergyX which is more or less a patent DLE startup and their Boliva loss would confirm no plans of lithium operations beyond their current pilot demonstrations and testing.

The news of him joining Galan is definitely very promising as it highlights Galan's near-term outlook on current and future lithium operations, beyond just the current commercial and feasibility stages.
