Tshipi mine has 100 year mine life so I guess it will be a long long while.
Manganese for batteries will never be a huge volume compared with SiMn and FeMn.
The technology for battery materials is changing so fast that in 5 years time who knows what will make the best battery.
In my opinion Firebird has low grade Mn ore and has a huge trucking distance, both are considered a problem for producers. The Mn ore price needs to be double the current price to make money, if that happens then more ore is produced in SA.
I guess 50 years from now it will be a different ball game. Not...
