In relation to this, and further to what that other fellow had said in regards to sulphide minerals and acid I found this little snippet
"Acid rock drainage (ARD) or acid mine drainage refers to the acidic water that is created when sulphide minerals are exposed to air and water and, through a natural chemical reaction, produce sulphuric acid."

The CLA ore containing Cobalt and Copper are both sulphides. Could this apply to us also and I was wondering if this is one of the reasons that sulphide ores are cheaper to process, seems like it? Almost like free sulphuric acid just from exposure to air and water. Dunno, but I wish I didn't drop high school chem now
