It is not ionic, its colloidal particle acid leaching which is a low pH method. Let's get real, most elements leach out with enough acid. It about how much gauge elements come with it, which they don't report. The hardest part of REE met work is getting it out of solution into a clean salt form. If they have high Al and Mg it becomes even harder. The more gauge the harder it is to recovery that's why ionic is king as the costs are low and the gauge elements don't come out at the pH4-5.
