no doubt everyone involved are taking positions, no one involved really wants to take this to court if they can help it so you'd think there have been some robust discussions happening over the last few weeks on how to move forward, a bit of give and take in all directions. The ball is squarely in the DRC court atm. Its election year and Felix could be a hero here if he plays it right and get his country out of the financial trouble it finds itself in.The 3 options:
- The Long road of court battles. No one wants this.
- AVZ takes this mining with partners. Risky option, as a lot of people that lost out on backhand deals with china will make it hard to get this done in a timely matter.
- AVZ sells the project and moves on.
As some commentators here(even ones of the owl variety) would have you believe, management is no doubt on top of what has been an ever-evolving issue. Getting the ML. Drilling will help in 2 parts. If we go mining obviously and with a TO it proves the value we have in the ground and no doubt ups the price. The grades and size will have a lot of ears pricked all over the planet from those looking for lithium. They would all have enough money to circumnavigate the DRC government where needed.
Drillings are done now. And yes we may need a few dimes to progress with legal battles going forward. The Zijin case is a bit of a fizzer. Don’t expect that to last long as they can’t even manage evidence or visas for their own court case. If the project is taken from us though and we do have to fight, no doubt it will be a reduced-cost operation with a skeleton crew. Again I can’t see the DRC wanting to go that far and air their dirty laundry on the world stage. Especially in front of the world bank. It’s not really a secret the DRC is corrupt from the top down but it becomes hard to turn a blind eye to it when you are put on a global stage.
Been a tough long hold. Lots of lessons learned.
