It's a burning question rpower. I have good contacts in WA and they have no inkling at all about a JV. My own feeling is that there will be an extension. If a deal had been agreed between such big parties I'm sure we'd see signs of it in the SP. But these games of brinkmanship can last until a minute to midnight, so we may still get good news on the day. I recently bought in the $2.00-2.10 range because I believe news on the permitting front will arrive more quickly than most expect.
To me it makes sense to stall JV's until that point, if possible.
The current retraction surprised me on the downside, but I always have shares for holding and shares for trading, because I like to stay active in the market and take advantage of tidal changes, so easy fruit today.
I have lost no faith in MT. He carries a very heavy load. I DO think the Morgan Stanley appointment has yielded little in terms of market awareness. and relieving him of the spruiking duties.
