12 JULY, 2024EXPLORATIONWRITTEN BY Oliver GrayAlchemy to extol ‘three-pronged’ exploration approach at Noosa conferenceAlchemy Resources (ASX:ALY) will be at the Noosa Mining Investor Conference in Queensland next week, where the Perth-based explorer is expected to outline its carefully planned approach to exploration.“For us we’ve got a three-pronged approach with our high-grade iron ore in the Bryah Basin, our emerging copper story at Yellow Mountain, and of course our lithium and gold exploration out of Kalgoorlie,” CEO James Wilson tells Mining.com.au.“Noosa is a great platform to reach a large base of east coast retail investors and talk face to face with them. It’s a fantastic opportunity to chat with other companies in the same space too. We’re really looking forward to it.”With a focus predominantly on gold, base metals, nickel, and cobalt, Alchemy holds a portfolio of assets spanning the full length of Australia.They include copper-gold joint ventures in Western Australia’s Bryah Basin, as well as the Lake Rebecca and Karonie projects further south in the state. A number of others are located in New South Wales, within the Cobar Basin, including the Overflow, West Lynn, and Yellow Mountain projects.Though Alchemy has released no announcements since the end of May, the company most recently hit high-grade iron ore at its Bryah Basin tenements, with rock chip assays at Valley Bore returning 64.9% iron.“We’re in the process of clearing the iron ore areas in preparation for drilling in the Bryah. At the same time, we’re awaiting a final key government approval for our high-grade copper exploration tenement at Yellow Mountain in NSW, which hasn’t had any drilling since the 1980s,” Wilson adds.“There’s 7% copper from mullock samples next to the Yellow Mountain mine so we’re keen as mustard to get in there for drilling as soon as possible. In WA, we have completed more geochem soil samples at our Karonie Lithium Project and we’re currently ground-truthing those targets this week.“We’ve got a fair bit on, (with) a diverse commodity base, but any one of them could turn into a company-maker for us near-term.”
