Can I ask where you found that 1/1 strip ratio. From my understanding and I could be wrong. Everything dug up is likely to have resource (gold), the combination of the sorter will identify the higher level gold while the remaining ore is still expected to contain viable resource is then sent to waste and heap leaching for the further extraction.
