An interesting post @Alex and relatively speaking, helps put things into some perspective. The importance of mass recovery of concentrate can't be stressed enough and some care needs to be taken when interpreting information in announcements. By way of example, the PUR 20 December 2018 announcement on Airijoki contains the following statement regarding the historical hole .....

QUOTE Drill hole K-AIR1 returned an exceptional intesection of 178.3m @ 0.30% V2O5 (1.33% V2O5 in magnetite concentrate) from 9.0m, which includes a higher-grade zone of 16.0m @ 0.55% V2O5 (2.03% V2O5 in magnetite concentrate) from 171.3m. UNQUOTE

It's not quite the whole story. This hole was referenced in the earlier PUR August 27 2018 announcement and its there ( in the Appendix section) that the approx. only 9% averaged magnetite concentrate recovery can be established from the data. Personally I don't think any "stand-alone" statement should be made with regard to the vanadium content in drill intersections, especially if headlined, and that also reference the concentrate assay without at the same time ( in the same sentence) also making reference to the average mass recovery.
