Well spotted about Shanghai opening up! I just read the news after you mentioned that. Industrial output was 2.9% lower due to the lockdown in April which actually isn't that bad. It shows how inelastic the price of copper is and I suspect that May will be an improvement on the number for April. China should hopefully be full speed ahead next month and the copper price could rebound very quickly from here. The volume of sellers seems also to be drying up at the moment in CAE so I expect a quick rebound back to over 40c very quickly. All commodity stocks have been beaten down and this is bargain buying at the moment.
