I've spun more than a few wireframes and I still say it's 3D on 2D. VR is superior because you can get in there with the blobs and touch and feel.
Why not just east-west sections showing holes, assays, resource model and resource wireframe outline? Just have to make sure the section clips are reasonable so that distant information is filtered out.
