I spoke to there CEO this morning. Bringing mop in helps reduce the freight cost of the sop going the other way - makes sense - and they can increase output by 33% with only a bit extra capex - makes sense. the only thing it has got to do with the brine i think is that there is excess sulfate in the brine they don't want to waste. they can get 200000tonnes in sop anyway so its not about the flow rates or anything liek that its just a good chance to make more money using the sulfate. if someone else speaks to him can you please post so we can get the story right?
