MOP to SOP is a good thing. There is no issue with the process or extraction of SOP. This is a value add process.
The assays showed high levels of Sulfate S04 in the Brine. The MOP to SOP is simply taking advantage of the existing and otherwise unused/unwanted Sulfate and using it for the chemical conversion of MOP to the higher priced SOP. This is value adding. They pump the brine to the surface, extract the SOP and are left with a brine containing high levels of Sulfate to throw away.
Why so caught up on solely SOP extraction. Why not value add if possible. Yes part of the project is subject to MOP prices but the whole project is subject to SOP prices yet no one seems to have concerns on that front.
