Only applies to NZ shareholders.
The company pays 28% tax on its profits.
The tax rate for individuals receiving dividends is 33%. The law allows the company paid tax (termed imputation credits) to form part of the 33% so a NZ tax resident then only pays 5% Resident Withholding Tax (RWT).
This means NZ does not have a double taxation situation.
This is very excellent.
