I don’t agree - the company is acting in its own interests. Locking in the offtake well before other exploration companies in Tanzania is testament of that, as is selling the product at market rates and not at the current lows (as all resources experience over their lifecycle).
back to the facts that these elements support a growing need in support to meeting various environmental and climate pledges globally, compounded by China wanting to ensure market dominance over rare earth minerals and the lack of developed mines globally absolutely means the offtake with shenghe was the smartest decision but also puts PEK in a position of control over Shenghe in that they won’t accept a funding solution if it’s not to the companies, and shareholders best interests.
