Gordon has more than 30 years of commercial and technical experience in investment banking and the international oil & gas industry. He has advised, structured and syndicated equity market fund raisings and limited recourse debt facilities for Australia's leading oil and gas companies. Prior to moving across to the investment banking division at UBS Australia, Gordon was Managing Director Energy Research in the countries top ranked research team where he also rated as Australia's No. 1 energy equity research analyst (both at UBS and at Solomon Smith Barney / Citi Group).

Gordon has also gained oil & gas operating experience at BHP Petroleum and Gulf Canada Resources (Gulf Oil), where he was responsible for the discovery and successful development of several oil and gas fields, including being a key member of the four person team that made the Gulf Rumsey oil discovery - Canada's largest onshore oil discovery in 1982 (AAPG classification).
