I don't think the CEO position is left open, for a company this size the MD is basically a CEO who is also on the board... i.e. Colin.
As to a "President Exploration", I doubt its a position to be filled. I don't think they're trying to "beef up" the exploration side. This is very deliberately signalling a transition. Andy will still be around in a smaller roll to keep the exploration side ticking over, but XAM is now a mining development company, so we only need a VP for exploration... as that's no longer the main game!
