It's strange how your criticise RFX for treating its early adopter as Beta testers in a comparison with Tesla.
Forget about Tesla shingles, they are pure vapourware. I cannot envisage how Tesla can ever compete with Jinko, Trina and other Chinese solar giants in terms of cents/watt. The 'solar roof' was PR event designed to help push through the Tesla/Solar City merger (aka Elon bailing out his cousin). No data regarding the shingle's cost or efficiency was ever released. Let alone details regarding how to train tradies to install the whole thing.
Has anyone crunched the numbers yet on the PW2 warrantied $/kWh compared to Zcell? Or do Tesla still refuse to issue a warranty containing any actual details beyond 'normal usage and degredation'?
