The timing of that post suggests they were hitting 'send' on that announcement before the doors on the lift Biggs was leaving in even opened at street level.
In a less volatile situation, being a Friday, this announcement would have been held back till 4.59pm WA time, which - along with the *very* short wording - makes me speculate it was a very unplanned, and very spontaneous "mutual agreement". Make of that what you will.
Hopefully, given the weekend to take a breath, assess, and regroup, there will be a more substantial announcement by the BoD around a replacement early next week, if not some clarity that we are still on course.
